First digital release of the Africa Dub Series by Roots Partner Records!
International and musical connection from the Indian Ocean, between Hidden Yardz Recordz (Madagascar) and The Mighty Patch Dub Crew (Belgium). These tracks were recorded in 2017 at Antananarivo during a music session with brother Razah at the HYR studio, located in the Alasora district.
The Mighty Patch family met all the members of Hidden Yardz on the way to the Fianar Reggae Festival (Fianarantsoa), and they decided to start an new artistic collaboration. So they began to compose the Cocoa Kush riddim under the Malagasy stars, and then recorded almost all instruments and voices together. Mashmanjaka and Kheman are two Malagasy singers from the emerging reggae scene out there, and Ichman was a singer from the Belgian Mighty crew! To finalize this collaboration, Mighty Patch and Vale played the powerful horns to go with the project, and Metta Frequencies finished arranging, mixing and dubbing all the tracks in Belgium.
"Cocoa Kush" is an original and exclusive vibe coming straight from Madagascar to show that the Malagasy conscious reggae dub music is alive and well!

"Mbola mazava" means from Malagasy "Don't stop shining"!
